EMPLOYEES OF PIONEER DONATE 1,296 POUNDS OF FOOD TO WEATHERFORD FOOD & RESOURCE CENTER

WEATHERFORD, OK-DECEMBER 3, 2018-Employees of Pioneer Telephone and Pioneer Cellular recently made a generous food donation to the Weatherford Food & Resource Center, an affiliate of the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma, following the company’s annual all-employee meeting, held in Kingfisher, OK.

Pioneers employees were asked to bring two or more non-perishable food items, which resulted in 1,296 pounds of food collected―an increase of 106 pounds from last year’s donation.

“The Weatherford Food & Resource Center distributes 30,000 pounds of food to 1,400 Western Oklahomans per month and that requires a very large team of helpers”, said Lori Flansburg, Executive Director. “Pioneer is a strong player on our team. I can’t express my gratitude enough for all that Pioneer does to support the center, from furnishing our volunteer break room with water bottles, to participating in our can sculpture competition, to their yearly food drive that benefits the Weatherford Food & Resource Center. They’re Oklahomans serving Oklahomans.”
