Employees of Pioneer recently made a generous donation of 1,190 pounds of food, to the Weatherford Food and Resource Center, located in Weatherford, OK.
In keeping with Pioneers message: “We Are Oklahoma”, employees were asked to bring two or more non-perishable food items, to the company’s annual all employee meeting, held on Friday, November 10, in Kingfisher, OK.
“Pioneer is one of our top most active and supportive donors,” said Lori Flansburg, executive director. “The Weatherford Food & Resource Center is community owned, community operated, and community funded and Pioneer takes that on vigorously. My clients and I are blessed to have Pioneer’s support. They are Oklahomans taking care of Oklahomans.”
The Weatherford Food & Resource Center distributes an average of 33,000 pounds of food per month to over 1500 people per month. Since opening in September 2016, WFRC has distributed 458,000 pounds of food and 1700 volunteers have put in 10,700 hours of work.
