Protect Your Account: Update Your CPNI

Your Customer Proprietary Network Information (CPNI) is a layer of security that helps protect your Pioneer account. It’s the information we keep on file—like your contact details, who’s authorized to make changes, and a password or security question you set up.

When you contact us, we cannot release any account information unless:

Your name is listed as an authorized person on the account and

You provide the correct CPNI password or answer your security question.

If no one is authorized on the account, the account holder must verify their identity. This can be done by coming into a Pioneer office, by having us call you back on the phone number we have on record, or by us emailing a CPNI form to the email address we have on file. If the account holder has forgotten their password or PIN, they will need to reset it in person at a Pioneer office with proof of identity.

To add an authorized user, the account holder can do so over the phone—once added, that person will use the same password and PIN for verification.

As customers and members, our priority is to serve you the best we can—and keeping your account secure is part of how we take care of you! One of the best ways you can protect yourself (and help us help you!) is by reviewing and updating your CPNI regularly.

September is the perfect time to check your information and get prepared—because in October we’ll be celebrating Cooperative Month and Customer Appreciation Week! From October 6–9, members can stop by their local Pioneer office to review and update their CPNI information. As a thank-you, you’ll receive a free insulated travel bag while supplies last.

It’s our way of showing appreciation for your trust, your membership, and for being part of the Pioneer family.
