Pioneer Telephone Cooperative is excited to announce the return of its beloved Santa Call-In event, a holiday tradition that has brought joy to Oklahoma families since 1975, when it first began in the home of Pat Rivers. Originally, Pat and four other employees gathered to create a direct line to Santa for local children.
Over the past 47 years, hundreds of Pioneer employees have carried on the tradition, transforming it into an event that connects children across the state with the magic of the North Pole.
This year’s event is set for Tuesday, December 10, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. CST, giving young callers the chance to speak directly with Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus, or one of Santa’s Head Elves.
“What started as a simple gesture to bring joy to the community has grown into a beloved annual tradition,” said General Manager, Blake Callaham. “It’s an honor to continue this legacy and bring holiday cheer to families across Oklahoma.”
With dedicated phone lines to the North Pole, children will have the chance to share their Christmas wishes and chat with Santa’s helpers. Due to the overwhelming response in past years, this event is available exclusively to residents of Oklahoma.
To participate, families can call 1-866-92-SANTA or 1-866-927-2682 during the event hours. Pioneer is proud and excited to continue offering this service and help spread holiday cheer across the state.
