Since 1991, the Pioneer Telephone Cooperative Scholarship Program has helped students across Western Oklahoma pursue their next chapter through higher education and technology center opportunities. Over the past 35 years, Pioneer has proudly awarded 374 scholarships totaling more than $1,145,927.27 to students throughout our communities.

Now, applications for the 2026–2027 school year are officially open!

Every year, the Pioneer Telephone Board of Trustees and Scholarship Committee look forward to reading applications from some of the brightest, most hardworking students in our service area. From future teachers and engineers to healthcare workers, business professionals, and skilled tradesmen, these scholarships are designed to invest directly back into the communities Pioneer serves.

The College Scholarship Program is available to qualified junior and senior college-level students of all majors, with priority consideration given to education majors in math, science, computer science, and foreign language fields. Pioneer awards one college scholarship per Board District each year, with recipients receiving $1,000 per semester for up to $2,000 annually.

For students pursuing hands-on career training, Pioneer also offers Technology Center Scholarships. These scholarships provide $1,000 toward the cost of one technology center program for qualified applicants attending a tech center within Pioneer’s service area.

Beyond the financial support, scholarship recipients are often featured in upcoming GoPioneer magazines, giving Pioneer the opportunity to celebrate the incredible students who represent the future of Western Oklahoma. Over the years, many recipients have shared how these scholarships helped reduce financial stress, encouraged them to continue their education, and reminded them that their hometown communities believe in them.

If you’re a high school senior, current college student, or future technology center student, now is the time to apply. Applications are open to qualified subscribers of Pioneer Telephone Cooperative, Inc., as well as the sons, daughters, or legal dependents of subscribers.

The deadline to apply is June 6, so don’t wait too long to get started!
