Lifeline is a federal program dedicated to making phone and internet service more affordable for low-income households. This benefit provides eligible consumers with a monthly discount of up to $9.25. Consumers living on Tribal lands are eligible for an enhanced discount of up to $34.25 per month.
USAC’s Lifeline Support Center helps you apply for the program, understand eligibility requirements, and keep your benefit current through an annual recertification process.
Lifeline consumers must apply for Lifeline and then sign up with a participating phone or internet company, recertify annually, and keep their information up to date.

The following assistance programs are supported in Oklahoma:
- Lifeline is a monthly discount on local telephone service or high-speed Internet service.
- Enhanced Lifeline, a larger discount off of monthly local telephone service or high-speed Internet service for qualified subscribers living on Tribal lands.
- Link Up is a one-time discount that reduces the cost of initiating service for qualified subscribers living on Tribal lands.

You may qualify for Lifeline if you, one or more dependents, or your household participates in any of the following programs: Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP a/k/a Food Stamps), Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Medical Assistance (Medicaid/SoonerCare), Federal Public Housing Assistance, or Veterans and Survivors Pension Benefit. Alternatively, you may qualify, if your total household income is at or less than 135% of the federal poverty level. To receive Lifeline discounts from Pioneer, you must reside within Pioneer’s service area.
Lifeline is a federal government benefit program and only qualified persons may participate. Lifeline service may not be transferred to any other individual.
