Pioneer Telephone/Internet Lifeline

YES, YOU CAN AFFORD TELEPHONE OR INTERNET SERVICE -
AND PIONEER CAN SHOW YOU HOW!

Everyone should have access to quality, affordable telecommunications or Internet service. With Pioneer’s Lifeline service, discounted telephone service or broadband Internet is available to anyone who participates in certain government assistance programs or has a household income below a certain level.

The following telephone assistance programs are supported in Oklahoma:

  • Lifeline is a monthly discount on local telephone service or high-speed Internet service.
  • Enhanced Lifeline, a larger discount off of monthly local telephone service or high-speed Internet service for qualified subscribers living on Tribal lands.
  • Link Up is a one-time discount that reduces the cost of initiating service for qualified subscribers living on Tribal lands.

You may qualify for Lifeline if you, one or more dependents, or your household participates in any of the following programs: Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP a/k/a Food Stamps), Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Medical Assistance (Medicaid/SoonerCare), Federal Public Housing Assistance, or Veterans and Survivors Pension Benefit. Alternatively, you may qualify, if your total household income is at or less than 135% of the federal poverty level. If you reside on Tribal lands, you may qualify by meeting the eligibility requirements above, or by participating in any of the following additional programs: Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR), Bureau of Indian Affairs General Assistance, Tribal Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), or Tribal Head Start Programs (only applicant or customer who satisfies the income qualifying eligibility provision).

To receive Lifeline discounts from Pioneer, you must reside within Pioneer’s service area. You will be required to provide copies of documents demonstrating program participation or total household income. If your documentation of income does not cover a full year, then you must provide income documentation that covers three consecutive months within the last year. 

Lifeline is a federal government benefit program and only qualified persons may participate. Lifeline service may not be transferred to any other individual. Applicants must present documentation of household income or participation in qualifying programs. Lifeline is only available for one phone line per household, whether landline or wireless.

Everyone should have access to quality, affordable telecommunications services. With Pioneer Cellular’s Lifeline service, discounted cellular phone service is available to all who qualify by participating in certain government assistance programs or having a household income below a certain level.

The following telephone assistance programs are supported in Oklahoma:

  • Lifeline is a discounted monthly local telephone service.
  • Enhanced Lifeline, a larger discount off of monthly local telephone service for qualified subscribers living on Tribal lands.
